2019 Season - Fixtures Discussion & Rule Changes

Postby Jon#606 » Mon 31 Dec 2018, 10:30 pm

If you have any queries about the below changes for 2019, please reply and the admin team will get to them as quickly as possible.

Some changes have been made for the 2019 season.

The main fixture changes are listed below:

1. Some open meetings have been changed from being at the end of the month
In response to some meetings last year getting very few numbers due to that Friday being part of a Bank Holiday weekend, the calendar has been arranged so that meetings on Bank Holiday weekends are not that significant to miss. They are as follows:

19th April (Easter Bank Holiday): Easter Fun Meet
4th May (May Day Weekend): Micro Bangers Round 2
25th May (Spring Holiday Weekend): May Fun Meet
23rd August (Summer Holiday Weekend): August Fun Meet

2.The Indoor Drift Oval debuts in the league, some venues have changed meetings while Mildenhall and South City Oval have left
Found on a drift server by Brett, this layout proved popular when it was used in a fun meeting and has been adapted for league use. It will first be used for Micro Bangers Round 1 on 1st March, replacing the South City Oval which was not well-received.

The British Championship on 10th May has also changed its venue to Wimbledon from Mildenhall.

As a result of these changes, Mildenhall and South City Oval have been dropped as LFS Bangers venues.Mildenhall never really worked due to the lack of a realistic large shale surface on LFS, and the South City Oval is just far too tight in its current form. This does not rule out these tracks from being used on fun nights.

The main rule changes are listed below:

1. Drivers no longer have to spec if they are out of a DD, but they will be spectated if they continue after being declared out
This decision has been taken so there's a bit more of a challenge to a DD in having to avoid wrecked cars.
