The first championship meeting of the season takes place this Friday as the World Cup returns to the league after a 3 year absence. In similar fashion to the Heavy Metal Classic earlier in the year, the biggest meeting north of the border will be on its actual circuit for the first time as Cowdenbeath was also made last year.

The World Cup grid was decided in a "secret" fashion. During the first three Champion of Champions meetings - Heavy Metal Classic, Heartbreaker and Metal Mania - all Unlimited races (2 Litres in the case of Metal Mania) scored points. This was done so the WC grid would be more unpredictable than usual had the points races been announced publicly. The full points table will be published later.

IF YOU ARE NOT ON THE ABOVE GRID, YOU WILL HAVE TO COMPETE IN THE LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER IN ORDER TO RACE IN THE WORLD CUP. IN A CHANGE FROM REGULAR TITLE MEETINGS, RESERVES WILL NOT BE USED TO FILL THE GRID IN CASE OF ABSENTEES AND WILL HAVE TO ENTER THE RACE VIA THE LCQ. THE NUMBER OF LCQ PLACES ON THE NIGHT WILL DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF QUALIFIED ABSENTEES AND UNQUALIFIED DRIVERS WHO ATTEND THE MEETING.

All races will take place on the Autocross Cowdenbeath layout using the Unlimited (FXO, RB4 & XRT) class.

The World Cup holds a Champion of Champions qualifying place. To qualify for the Champion of Champions race via this meeting: win the World Cup.

Bookings will not be limited for this meeting.

Bookings are MANDATORY for this meeting; you must book in and cannot just turn up on the night without having informed an admin beforehand.

You can also book in via the LFS Bangers Facebook page by either commenting on the post or by posting to the page with your driver name, number and which team you're racing for. Bookings received in this way will have a (F) after the driver's name.

The single booking rule is now INACTIVE, so therefore:

YOU CAN BOOK IN AS MANY DRIVERS AS YOU WANT FOR THE MEETING, BUT KEEP IT REASONABLE.

YOU MUST BOOK IN DRIVERS OTHER THAN YOURSELF AS PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS UNTIL THE RESPECTIVE DRIVERS CONFIRM THEIR OWN ATTENDANCE.
