Oops! Anyone here good at sourcing parts?

Postby Jam » Wed 04 May 2016, 10:05 pm

I know at least half of you guys are up to your ears in engine most weeks, anyone got any ideas about sourcing a con rod? It's a 96 Fiesta, Mk3 (3.5 'facelift'). We found one through dealers but it's £200, my mate says we'd be better off replacing the whole engine. No joy on Ebay, either.

It's dead again, 8 miles later - it drove beautifully for 7.9 of them though.

From the sounds it made, we're guessing the same again so it's off to the yard
