Hednesford was a very good layout and I must congratulate Foster for creating it. The recreation of the Hills Raceway provided some amazing racing and crashing action, although there were some moments that will require disciplinary action.
The seventh Civil War had the South aiming for an unprecedented three Civil Wars on the trot, with the North not having won since 2013. First, let's see who competed for both sides:

The minor regiment were the first to take to the battlefield, with two closely fought heats and two South wins followed by a brutal North annihilation in the final, with the whites taking the top 3 and all but three places in the top 10. The reds gained some pride back with the DD but were still behind by 54 points.

The middle-tier of artillery followed and the South made a strong fightback, with a top 4 finish in both Heat 1 and the Final although the North edged out Heat 2. Once again, the reds took the DD to earn another 10 points and took the lead by 18 points.

For the second season in a row, the North had to rely on the heavy machinery in order to retain the Civil War crown they'd lost in 2014 and prevent the first-ever Civil War threepeat. For the third time in the night, the North scored 33 points in a heat before following it up with 30 in the second heat, closing the gap on the South to just TWO POINTS before the double-points final and DD; a far cry from the 73 point deficit they had to make up last year at the same stage. With another top 3 finish in the final, it was safe to say the Civil War crown would no longer be red.

Unlike last year, the war was decided by one army being stronger in two of the three classes. Dominant performances from both armies in the Light Brigade & Tanks and the Infantry for the North and South respectively tipped the balance in favour of the whites, who finally regain the title they lost three seasons ago. It was a very well-fought and tight battle with just 24 points in it at the end despite the reds' three-man disadvantage, but more than made up for it with South's Miniman performing the best out of all drivers in the meeting with 3 heat wins and top 10 finishes in all but one race. Pepino was the best North driver with 2 heat wins, a final and finished no lower than 5th when finishing in the top 10.
It's certain to say if this happens next year, we're surely in for a wonderful Civil War VIII.
