Anyway, the 2016 2 Litres Battle of Britain at Ringwood witnessed 15 drivers competing. There was a lot of good racing and crashing on show, but some people did push the rules a bit which may need looking at afterwards.

Mill Green Mafia "A" were the reigning champions having won with a 28 point margin last year. However, the MGM team itself did not feature in the meeting, but three of its drivers made up the Midnight Runners team tonight (with Looney for Sam the only difference between the two teams).
Unlike last year, this was not a tight meeting at all as one team recorded multiple finishers in nearly every heat and had the meeting all but wrapped up before the final, which they won anyway...
Top 5 scored in heats and final. Allcomers were non-points. Drivers in italics finished but did not score points. 5 points went to the winning team in the DD.

As has been evidenced many times before, when you put two big rodders together, they usually ruin everything for everyone else!
This proved to be the case once again as Pepino and Rik (with a small bit of help from Brett) trashed the rest of the field, leading by 16 points going into the final which was then won by the current British champion, who had already taken an earlier heat. Although Rik top scored in the meeting with 33 points, it was Pepino's haul of 27 including three heat wins that secured Bandicoot's B team as the 2 Litres Battle of Britain champions.Although Bandicoot B had a stride to the title, they were put under some pressure by both Riot Squad and the Midnight Runners. Cap took 2 heats and guest driver Jam took 1 heat for the Squad to finish second on the night while Kane was the only heat winner for MNR, although they did manage to win the DD as well to end up third. Bandicoot's A team featured Luke returning from his ban and actually managing to race for once (
) and picked up 9 points in the process, while DarkMetalTim recorded another allcomers victory. For Krash Mafia, which saw Zotez return to the league for the first time since March, it was more a case of "it's the taking part that counts" as the two only recorded five finishes across the meeting, none of them in the points, although Dumbo had a good number of chances to turn heats into points but got outmuscled by the more experienced racers on each occasion.So, without further ado:
