ROW 1

Image
Image 27 Chris "Cap" Streets
Taking pole position on the 2 Litre World Final grid is LFS Bangers' godfather Cap. Topping the points table with a stunning total of 267, including 5 heat wins, 2 finals and 2 shared DD victories, 2009's British Championship winner has been without a special roof since that victory seven years ago. Can #27 roll back the years and finally claim the big one?

Image
Image 870 Niall "Looney" Drew
On the other side of the all-English front row is Looney, whose World qualifying campaign only ended in one race win but consistently finished in the top 10 to secure his second place. One of the most passionate drivers in LFS Bangers with an ability to match, will Looney finally get a big title under his big belt?

ROW 2

Image
Image 238 Kane Morgan
Having been outscored by good friend Looney by A SINGLE POINT, the current Unlimited World and Points champion missed two qualifiers but performed amazingly in the opening two rounds, finishing second and third respectively. Still without a 2 Litre title after finishing second back in May's British Championship, will Arena Essex be Kane's Gold moment?

Image
Image 474 Jouke "Miniman" Heddema
The early leader at the start of the season is the highest-placed continental driver Miniman. After a decent performance at Aldershot in the second qualifier, the Dutchman turned on the pace at Birmingham to record 4 heat wins and 3 second places to rocket up the table. With Rik the only other non-British driver to have claimed a graded title, can #474 repeat his Bandicoot team mate's May heroics for his first major title?

ROW 3

Image
Image 616 Jamie "Jam" Tresidder
Achieving his highest ever championship grid position in his short time on LFS Bangers is all-around good guy Jam. Despite not picking up a victory in the qualifiers, #616 was another constant Top 10 finisher to end up fifth. Will the gold roof be achieved in a Jammy fashion by the southern racer?

Image
Image 220 Kyle "Nova" Young
Reigning European champion Nova completes the third row, and his excellent rodding ability is sure to be put to good use in the 22 lap epic. Could #220 match his brother by claiming the 2 Litre World title?

ROW 4

Image
Image 386 Luke "Lukey" Ashton-Jones
With two solid performances in qualifiers 2 and 4, Lukey does not attend every week but puts in the effort when he does show. Can he make another unexpected appearance a memorable one?

Image
Image 669 Timothy "DarkMetalTim" Mutsaerts
The second-placed Dutchman on the grid is the steadily improving DarkMetalTIm. Recording a heat win and five other top 10 places at Birmingham and an allcomers victory at Wimbledon, can the Team Bandicoot man zoom up the ladder in the biggest of them all?

ROW 5

Image
Image 606 Jonathan "Jon" Siddle
Beset by computer issues recently, the league admin may actually compete in the race but let's be real: he's not finishing because he'll roll himself like always. In the event he manages NOT to do that, you just know his computer will blow up well before the race finishes.

Image
Image 70 Aaron Brown
A somewhat surprising 10th is the prize for Predators member Aaron's presence at every qualifier and his persistence to finish races. The only driver in the field who doesn't drive the XFG, will the rear wheel power outweigh his tendency for wrecking?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
ROW 6

Image
Image 200 Ryan "Youngy" Young
The first-ever LFS Bangers 2 Litre World champion and only driver to hold all 3 graded titles will be desperate to become the first driver to win three gold roofs. Although Youngy only attended a single qualifier, Wimbledon was where he served up a smashing display, recording 71 points along with three heat wins. Despite being a lowly 11th on the grid, he's more than certain to make up that disadvantage.

Image
Image 997 RIk Kardol
The 2016 British champion has also been affected by computer issues that have reduced Rik's appearances in the Worlds qualifiers to just one round at Aldershot back in June. However, like the driver on his inside tonight, Rik blitzed the meeting with 1 heat win and the final to pick up 70 points. After taking the chequered roof from Foster in May, will he snatch the gold one off him as well?

ROW 7

Image
Image 228 Matt "Splat" Fall
A driver you can guarantee will show up to the big occasion in a fashionable manner is south western wrecker Splat, whose skins always have good work put into them. With a preference to go for the big hits instead of the big victories, this may be another night when his wrecking tendencies override his very good racing ability.

Image
Image 760 Ryan "Ryano" Pike
With a third in the British Championship and an excellent round 1 performance, fellow West Countryman Ryano hasn't really raced much on LFS Bangers since. Averaging 62 points in the grades table due to his excellent performances in his limited showings, is he able to increase that average even further with a big victory?

ROW 8

Image
Image 786 Brett Gedney
With such a big banger racing surname as Gedney should come pressure. But Brett, much like his dad, will probably go for the big shots rather than the big prize. There's always a possibility of him winning it, but it's probably not that big a chance.

Image
Image 97 Jake Williamson
Another big hitter is Jake W., who has not attended meetings for a while now and is not currently booked in for the big race. #97 has the ability but he'll more than likely go for the wreck than the roof.

ROW 9

Image
Image 66 Colin "Hammertime" Croese
The first debutant on the grid is also the last Dutchman as rookie Hammertime takes 17th place after some decent showings. His relative inexperience will probably be his downfall but he is certainly one to watch for the future.

Image
Image 960 Pepino Starmanns
The final continental on the grid is Pepino, who has never really gained the reputation of other names despite being a brilliant driver himself. Sneaking in with 31 points at Birmingham in his only qualifier appearance of the 4 rounds, can the most underrated of them all disprove his status and go gold for Germany?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
ROW 10

Image
Image 337 Luke "Spook" Manhire
The most south westernly of them all is Cornish representative Spook, who has always put his best in but has never really got anywhere. Starting from the back will surely hamper his chances of what would be a completely unexpected victory.

Image
Image 911 Cole McFall
As with last year, the final round saw a driver turn up on debut and get himself onto the World grid in it. Last year it was Jamaican Cyankiller, this year it's Ulster stock rod driver Cole. #911 also won the allcomers in his Birmingham debut but the big occasion may be too much for the NI driver.

ROW 11
The last row of the grid will be decided via the Last Chance Qualifier ran before the 2 Litre World Final, with the winner getting the inside and the runner-up the outside. The following drivers attended at least 1 round of the World Qualifiers but failed to make the Top 20:

Image 726 Sam Bye ~ Image 380 Luuk "Pennywise" Vries ~ Image 515 Joshua McKinstry ~ Image 212 Marco "Bokito" De Jong ~ Image 540 Samuel "Chunk" Hayward ~ Image 649 Adam "Dumbo" Strudwick ~ Image 560 Trent "Cyankiller" Palmer ~ Image 919 Macauley "Macca" Yates

In the event of any of the Top 20 failing to show, they will be replaced by drivers from the above list until a full grid is achieved. Drivers who did not attend any World qualifier will have to enter the Last Chance Qualifier. The following drivers are booked in but did not attend a World qualifier:

Image 312 Hessel "Mr. T-Bone" Arends ~ Image 47 Michal Málek

The reserve and non-attended lists contain a variety of drivers, including possible title challengers 560 Cyankiller and 726 Sam. There are also a number of big hitters, such as 312 Mr. T-Bone, 649 Dumbo and 919 Macca. Could any of these reserves pull off a big surprise and claim the title as their own?
